• Riverdale has been working on other sustainability projects

  • Full support from admin on bus initiative

• White plains public school transitioned recently

  • Documented evidence as an example of what we could do

• The majority of Selby operations are in public schools

  • They will also begin the transition by 2035 with DOE schools

  • Legal push from the state already

• Hidden costs - charging ports?

  • Costs will likely go up

  • Con Edison has agreed to pay for charging ports in their grid program in exchange for stabilizing their grids

• Next steps

  • talk to Selby about their next steps in compliance with the state

    • What is a realistic goal for the transition? When will they be ready?

  • Talk with HM to get their support

  • Teddy will talk to SuperSelby and get their response

    • Wait on sending out the student petition - it likely won't be difficult to convince them

    • Unknown - cash flow. Their own plan

      • If they agree, they can possibly make a statement

      • Will make us a pioneer in this - possibly inspiring other private schools

  • Proposal - the next time they are buying a new bus, it will be electric

• When accepting funds and federal grants, we must follow those stipulations

  • What are they? How will they affect us?

• 5268 bill - a new program that will possibly lower costs
